Description:
GDM were appointed by Haynford Ltd & Steeple Properties BV JV to design the building services for a refurbishment to Lynton House. The project consisted of a refurbishment to an existing building that was to remain partially occupied throughout the duration of the project. 11 floors providing over 10,000m2 of lettable space, (12000 gross) at basement, ground and 1 to 9. Floors 1, 2 & part ground remained occupied throughout the entire building refurbishment, window & lift replacement. The office areas on these floors were not fitted out. The fit-out involved the installation of completely new electrical distribution equipment, provision of new boilers and heating distribution and the provision of new chillers and distribution. The office floors were fitted with multi-service chilled beams. In addition to the usual design challenges we had to work around the occupying tenants, be considerate of noise restrictions, and had a lack of building record documentation. Details
